Catrina Stanks joined WHA Insurance in 2006. She has served as both a customer service representative as well as the Transportation Department Manager. Her 20 + years of experience in the trucking industry gives her extensive knowledge of the day to day operations and appetites of markets.
Chad Belcher joined WHA in September 2015 where he began working as a trucking account executive. Prior to joining WHA Chad worked as a truck driver giving him a great deal of insight into trucking operations. Chad is currently a licensed in 23 states as a trucking account manager. He is working on his Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation as well as his Fleet Specialist in Transportation & Risk from Great West Casualty Company. Chad served in the US military during the invasion of Panama and the First Desert War from 1988-1996. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends
Christie Montero has been with WHA since 2005. She has over 18 years’ experience in the insurance industry and holds a Certified Insurance Service Representative designation (CISR). Christie grew up on a dairy farm in Creswell, Oregon and now specializes in Farm/Agri Business insurance as well as other commercial risks. She prides herself in delivering personalized service and comprehensive coverage protection.
Dave Lingenfelder began his career as an insurance agent with WHA Insurance in 1992. He has earned a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation as well as a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. Dave also holds a bachelors degree from the University or Oregon.
Jake is a licensed Property/Casualty and Workers’ Compensation agent in Oregon, Washington, California and Hawaii. He is a Certified School Risk Manager, having earned the designation in a mere 6 months despite the estimated 3 years it normally takes to achieve. Earning the designation requires passing five difficult risk management courses as well as an arduous final examination (which Jake scored a 98% on). He also holds the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation; proving his dedication to providing the highest level of service and risk management possible. In 2016, he was the focus of two separate feature articles in Insurance Business America magazine for his accomplishments in the industry. Jake was an English major, with a US History minor, and has successfully published three children’s books. In his spare time, Jake coaches his children’s softball, baseball and basketball teams and is an avid fan of the Oregon Ducks and Cleveland Indians.
Jeff Griffin has worked in public entities insurance for over 25 years, and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer on WHA Insurance’s executive board. Jeff is committed to serving public entities, and has been honored with the Oregon Fire Distric Directors Associations’ President’s Award from the Oregon Fire Service Office Administrators. Jeff holds a Bachelors’ degree from the University of Oregon.
Jennifer holds licenses in Oregon and Washington as both an agent and consultant and oversees an $8 million client base. She began working in the Insurance industry in 1996 and then in 1999 she began working at WHA dedicating her focus to workers’ compensation and risk management. Jennifer has completed an advanced Workers’ Compensation underwriting series developed by SAIF. She is the endorsed Workers’ Compensation agent for a state association and serves on its Safety Management Council. Jennifer has presented at regional and state safety conferences and seminars. She is involved with each step of the Workers’ Compensation process, including risk analysis, compliance assistance, claims management, market analysis and renewal decisions. In her spare time, Jennifer spends as much time as possible with her teenage son and enjoys hiking and exploring the beautiful state of Oregon.
Kim joined WHA Insurance in 2000, working in the life and health insurance department. She currently serves as one of the agency’s top account managers and is the life and health department manager. Kim holds an agents license in Life and Health as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education from Western Oregon University. In Kim’s spare time she spends a lot of time volunteering at the local high school where her husband coaches and teaches. When not working or volunteering, Kim loves traveling and spending time with her husband and dogs.
Mark Smith has been a part of WHA Insurance since 1995. He currently serves as the Secretary on our executive board. Mark has worked in the transportation insurance industry for over 20 years, specializing in fleet business. Mark has a finance degree from the University of Oregon and has received the “Delivering the Goods” award, the highest honor awarded by Great West Casualty Insurance.
Prior to joining WHA Insurance in 2012, Mike Note spent his career in transportation management. His 20 years of trucking experience includes dispatch and dock operations, safety, compliance, recruiting, training, orientation, maintenance and driving for both LTL and truckload carriers, operating in the 11 western states. Mike served for more than six years in the Marine Corps Reserves. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University and a designation as a Fleet Specialist in Transportation and Risk from Great West Casualty Company. Mike has volunteered for more than 10 years for the Lord Leebrick Theatre Co and Oregon Contemporary Theatre in Eugene, OR. He enjoys riding and maintaining vintage BMW motorcycles.
Nathan joined WHA Insurance in November of 2015. He is a licensed Property/Casualty and Workers’ Compensation agent in Oregon and has achieved his first designation, Certified Insurance Service Representative. Currently, Nathan is continuing to grow his knowledge and is working towards his second designation, Certified School Risk Manager. Nathan has a passion for customer service, which he implements on a daily basis while assisting the Public Entity Department service over 330 Public Entity clients. He has extensive background in sales and management, with nearly 7 years of experience managing bargained employees and is WHA’s Public Entity Department Manager. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife, family and dogs, and is an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Nate Cassube joined WHA Insurance in 2014 and is currently licensed in Property, Casualty, Life, and Health. Throughout his time in the insurance industry, Nate has provided excellent customer service for his clients and has continued to develop meaningful relationships by educating them on the products and services we provide. Nate currently specializes in Personal Lines of insurance, but has experience in Commercial Lines and Specialty Lines such as flood and earthquake coverage. In his free time, Nate enjoys hiking, bouldering, and continuing his education.
Pat Knox joined WHA Insurance in 1989. He has over 30 years of experience in workers’ compensation, loss control and accident prevention also holding both an agent’s and a consultant’s license. Pat has received an Associate of Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pacific University and a Masters Degree from the University of Washington.
Rich started his career in the insurance industry in 1995, with one of the largest carriers in Oregon. In 2012, he joined WHA Insurance with the goal of helping Private Employers, Public Employers, Unions and Individuals get the most out of their Healthcare dollars. With his success, he enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and three kids.
Steve joined the WHA Insurance Team in February of 2015. He is licensed in Life, Health, Property and Casualty. Some areas of concentration are workplace safety, loss prevention, OSHA compliance. Steve is committed to providing excellent customer service. He enjoys outdoor activities like camping, hiking, fishing and working in the garden.
Tammy Jeffries has over 30 years of experience in worker’ compensation insurance – both with private and public entities. Before joining the WHA team in 2006, she was a Director for an insurance carrier and managed return to work and loss control consultants, premium auditors and sales staff. Tammy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon. Every year Tammy and her husband fly to Scottsdale Arizona to catch a week’s worth of Baseball Spring Training wearing the Orange and Black of the San Francisco Giants.
